Jaan Tootsen to become the Cultural Advisor of the President of the Republic

As of today [June 1], Jaan Tootsen will hold the position of a non-staff cultural advisor to the Head of State.
He is the long-term editor of the radio programme "Ööülikool" (Night University) and was awarded the Young Cultural Figure Award of the Cultural Foundation of the President of the Republic in 2010. This year, movie journalists elected a documentary by Jaan Tootsen, "Uus Maailm" (New World), the Movie of the Year for an emphatic and diversified demonstration of one third sector community and its man characters.
Jaanus Rohumaa, who held the position of the Cultural Advisor to the President until today, will focus on his work at the State Chancellery. He will remain linked to the Office of the President by coordinating the 95th and 100th anniversary events of the Republic of Estonia and other events that promote statehood.
