Set in Riga, the film tells a tragic love story before and during the Soviet invasion of Latvia in 1940 and the early stages of World War II. Love ignites between a Prussian girl and a Latvian radio journalist. Unfortunately the couple has to face the fierce politics of WWII. It is a dangerous game which leaves a deep impact on their nations, their leaders and their people. A game in which there can be no winners.
