The Jumbo Glacier Resort was approved by the BC provincial government this week. Environmentalists in the Kootenays have been campaigning to keep the Jumbo valley wild for 20 years and I have been personally involved for over a decade.
This is the heart of our wilderness and we need everyone's support to keep it wild.
For folks in the region:
There's a big rally for Jumbo Wild! on Sunday night at 7:30pm at Nelson City Hall. It should be fun. Come! Bring candles, costumes, instruments, energy! Spread the word - let's show the country what democracy looks like!

I agree with what you are trying to say but aren't you getting "freedom" mixed up with "democracy". Not all democracies have the degree of freedom we would like as individuals.
Being able to do what I want and getting other people to do what I want?
