Saturday could be even hotter than Friday, with temperatures forecasted to hit the mid-30s while humidex levels will reach the mid- or upper-40s in some areas of southern Ontario. Humidex values could exceed the numbers reached last summer.

"The heat will peak on Saturday with high temperatures in the low- to mid-30s with tropical humidity. This dangerous combination of extreme heat and tropical humidity will give us a humidex in the mid-40s," says Weather Network meteorologist Dr. Doug Gillham.
