BBN Finance minister Jürgen Ligi told Äripäev that if Mart Laar, chairman of IRL, were to implement his promises that he made in his speech on Saturday, Estonia could kiss the euro goodbye.
Ligi, who gave a welcome address at the party convention of IRL on behalf of Reform Party, said that in his speech Laar promised to cut government wage costs, cap the social tax amount, reduce corporate income tax rate, preserve the right of mortgage borrowers to deduct interest costs from taxable income, free investments of private persons into securities and to create new jobs.
