"When we started construction this spring, our desire was to create a kind of regional energy battery in Paldiski, but since June, all we had to do was to build a quay, as ordered by the government, and this task has been completed today. Before making the next decisions, we want to make sure that the gas equipment will be installed on the quay in the next month and that the gas reception capacity will be here by the November 30th," Infortar CEO Martti Talgre said in a press release.
According to the plan, Elering should complete the construction of the infrastructure enabling the reception of LNG by the end of November. However, there will not be any floating regasification vessel (FSRU) next to the quay, which would allow to use the infrastructure to send gas into the network. The vessel will go to Inkoo in Finland.
