Olime koos palju suvi Seedrioru suvelaagris. Ikka mäletan 1991 tema arvamus artikklit Kanada Globe and Mailis, lühidalt ennem Eesti taasiseseissut. Aleksander Yakovlev kirjutas kõrvalise arvamuses kuidas NK muutub positiivselt ja Eesti peaks jääma autonoomseks osaks. Markuse artikkel seletas palju selgemalt miks mitte.
