With regard to the proposed movement of the Bronze Soldier from Tõnismägi to a more suitable location: it would behoove us to consider some hard numbers.
There were 170 monuments erected to honour the Estonian War of Independence in Estonia prior to Soviet occupation. According to the 2002 book „Vabadussõja mälestusmärgid“ of those 149 were either dynamited or ordered destroyed by Moscow, 13 violated, defaced or desecrated and a mere 8 left to stand.
How does the Kremlin intend to address and atone for this historic wrong?
