Karl Plutus, the oldest man in Estonia, died on Friday at the age of 106.
ERR NewsBorn in the Kolu village in Viru County, Plutus moved with his parents and five siblings to St. Petersburg in 1913 where his father had found work in a knitwear factory, Õhtuleht reported. At the age of 13, he was witness to the storming of the Winter Palace as the Bolshevist Revolution swept over Russia.
