The movie is about a group of prisoners at a Siberian Gulag, slave labour camp who escape and trek 4,000 miles, through Mongolia and into India. The film is based the book “The Long Walk”.
The piece is by Australian Peter Wier, who directed the Dead Poets’ Society and Witness (starring Estonian Alison Pill) and starring Ed Harris, “Enemy at the Gates” and “The Truman Show” among many others, Colin Farrell, “S.W.A.T”, “The Recruit” and “In Bruges” and Jim Sturgess, “50 Dead Men Walking” and “The Other Boleyn Girl”.
