Just as in years past the battle for the North American Baltic Cup has been a tight race. The Latvian team qualified for the championship game by beating the Estonians 3-2 and earning a hard fought 2-2 tie against the Lithuanians. Having lost their first game to the Latvians, the Estonians needed a win against the Lithuanians to have the opportunity to defend title as NABC champions. In an action packed game, the Estonians were able to hold off a late Lithuanian charge to earn an 8-7 victory.
Now the stage is set for Friday night. The Latvian team will come out hungry trying to dethrone the Estonians as North American Baltic Cup champions, but the Estonians don't plan on having the trophy go anywhere.
So come out and watch an action packed game that is sure to be a nail bitter!
Post game celebrations as usual will be held at the Maple Leafs House Grill & Lounge (2749 Lakeshore Rd W)
