Dear Friend of the NY Estonian Educational Society,

We are pleased to inform you that the Annual Dinner-Dance and 83rd Anniversary of the New York Estonian Educational Society will take place on Saturday April 27, 2013 starting at 6 PM at the Estonian House. The event will celebrate our organization’s history and the commitment of the New York Estonian community to the Estonian House, our home in New York City.

This year we will honor Peeter and Mari Teelda who have both made invaluable contributions to many Estonian organizations in the New York area, including The Estonian Students Fund, Saare Vikat Folkdancing, and ESTO1992, where Mari was one of the main organizers. Peeter has been active with BATUN and previously with Estonian Cultural Days, as well as an invaluable member of our Board for many years as treasurer and vice-president. We hope you can join us in celebrating their efforts.

We will also feature a “Silent Auction” which will include an array of artwork and other worthwhile prizes.

Our Dinner-Dance will feature entertainers Rosemarie Lindau and Maaja Duesberg-Roos as well as the Mike Barry Band for dancing.

We therefore ask you to participate in our celebration by joining us on
April 27, 2013 at the Estonian House. If you are unable to attend, your support with a greeting or ad in our Journal would be most welcome. The proceeds from the event will help us cover the ongoing costs of maintaining our House for future generations.

Märts 2013 aastal

Lugupeetud New Yorgi Eesti Maja sõber,

Meil on hea meel Teile teatada, et New Yorgi Eesti Haridusseltsi iga-aastane pidulik koosviibimine õhtusöögi ja tantsuga – meie Kevadball – toimub laupäeval, 27. aprillil 2013 alates kell 6 p.l. New Yorgi Eesti Majas.
Traditsiooniliselt pühitseme selle üritusega meie organisatsiooni ajalugu ja panust New Yorgile ja New Yorgi eestlaskonnale.

Sellel aastal austame kahte isikut - Peeter ja Mari Teedla - kes on mõlemad aastate jooksul eestlusele enda panuse andnud, eriti New Yorgis. Mõlemad on seotud Eesti Üliõpilaste Toetusfondiga. Peeter on kauaaegne Seltsi juhatuse liige, ja Mari oli Saare Vikat rahvatantsu alustaja New Yorgis - samuti oli ESTO1992 valguspeo korraldaja, ja on ka olnud LI Suvekodu juht.
Palun tulge kohale, et saate neid mõlemaid austada.

Toimub ka “Oksjon” kunstitööde ja muude hinnaliste võitudega.

Tuluõhtul esinevad Rosemarie Lindau ja Maaja Duesberg-Roos -
olge valmis - need kaks ühel laval - see saab olema elamus kõigile!
Tantsumuusikat mängib ansambel Mike Barry Band.
