Enam kui 10 aastat on Economic Club of Canada (ECC) olnud foorumiks, kus maailma nimekamad kõnelejad avaldavad oma arvamusi ning arutavad päevakohaseid probleeme Kanada juhtivate isikutega ärimaailmast ja valitsuse ringkondadest. Varasematel ECC üritustel on kõnelejateks olnud mh Stephen Harper, John McCain, Viktor Juštšenko, Arnold Schwarzenegger, enamik Kanada provintside peaministreid, jt.
President Toomas Hendrik Ilves esineb
reedel, 3. mail ECC hommikusel üritusel Toronto Inter-Continental hotellis (255 Front Street West). Teemaks on ülimalt päevakohane:
“Against All Odds: The Estonian Perspective On The Future Of The Eurozone And European Union”.
Üritus algab hommikusöögiga kell 7.45 ja lõpeb kell 9.15, mis võimaldab kõigil osalejail tööle jõuda, minimaalse ajakaotusega. Viimane veerand tundi on varutud eesti päritoluga osalejatele presidendiga kohtumiseks ja tervitamiseks ECC poolt pakutud kõrvalruumis.

President Ilves to speak at Economic Club breakfast Everyone encouraged to attend timely event Friday May 3!
For 10 years the the Economic Club of Canada has staged events across Canada, bringing its members and guests face-to-face with influential leaders of our time. More than 100 key policy makers and business leaders make major keynote addresses at the ECC annually. Past guests have included: Senator John McCain; Prime Minister Stephen Harper; Victor Yushchenko, President of Ukraine; Arnold Schwarzenegger, Governor of California; premiers of Canadian provinces; and government ministers, including the Minister of Finance for a post-Budget address.
President Toomas Hendrik Ilves of Estonia will address the ECC on the morning of Friday May 3, at the Inter-Continental Hotel (255 Front Street West). The President’s theme is: “Against All Odds: The Estonian Perspective On The Future Of The Eurozone And European Union”. This timely event should interest everyone who follows world politics, finance and economics.
The breakfast session starts at 7.45 AM and ends at 9.15 AM, which enables attendees to return to work, with minimal delay. The last 15 minutes include an opportunity for attendees of Estonian heritage to meet and greet the President in a room kindly provided by the ECC.
