SENECA GRAPHIC DESIGN GRADS SHOWCASE TALENTS AT NEW DESIGN EXCHANGE EXHIBIT

Toronto, April 13, 2004 - Designs by two nationally recognized student graphic designers from Seneca College will be among dozens of pieces showcased in a graduate student graphic design show next week.

Titled ANONYMITY, the exhibit will feature the portfolios of 28 graduating students in Seneca's three-year Graphic Design Program, including corporate and book designs, packaging and social marketing campaigns.

The exhibit features the award-winning projects of students Bryan Ishiguro and David Moo King, whose designs were selected as among the best student work in Canada for the Applied Arts Advertising and Design Awards Annual in January 2004.

ANONYMITY will run April 19 to 24 at the Design Exchange, 234 Bay Street,with an opening night reception and awards ceremony Tuesday, April 20 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Admission is free and open to the public. The Design Exchange is open weekdays 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on weekends, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

"This exhibit will showcase the exceptional talents of our graduating and award-winning students and will introduce them to the design and business community," says Seneca Professor Johanne Daoust. "It's the culmination of three years of dedicated work and a celebration of a job well done."

Seneca's Graphic Design program, based at the College's Seneca@York Campus,focuses on the creative aspects of designing print and web-based graphic materials. Areas of study include visual design concepts, colour theory,
drawing, typography, print production, social marketing, corporate design,publications design, photography, and computer-assisted design.
