"Laulev Revolutsioon" filmi etendus Waterloos

"Singing Revolution" film presentation in Waterloo
On Sunday, October 23, the Estonian Society of Kitchener and the Princess Cinema presented a screening of Maureen and James Tusty's 2006 film "The Singing Revolution" in the Princess Cinema in Waterloo. The presentation was held to help commemorate the 25th anniversary of the re-establishment on Estonian independence in 1991. The audience comprised both of members of the Kitchener Estonian community, as well as the Kitchener-Waterloo community at large. The screening of the film was held after a brief introduction by the Estonian Society's president, Linda Montgomery. After the screening, a question-and-answer session was held with Markus Hess, the founder of the Black Ribbon Day movement. The Estonian Society also provided complimentary (and very tasty) Estonian kringel in the cinema lobby. Many thanks to the Estonian Society of Kitchener, and the Princess Cinema for providing another opportunity to see this film on the big screen.
