Avo Kittask, President, Estonian Central Council Canada ( EKN) received the following letter thanking EKN and all those associated with introducing Estonian Christmas traditions on December Sundays to Torontonians:

Dear Avo,

On behalf of the staff and the board of Spadina Museum, I would like to thank you and your organisation for all the help, assistance and work put in towards making the ‘Sharing Our Traditions’ programme such a successful event.

This years ‘Sharing’ programme was one of the most successful, with three hundred and six participants on the three ‘Family Sundays’ plus ninety-five guests at the opening reception.  Attaining these numbers would not have been possible without you and the Estonian Central Council’s organisation and promotion within Toronto’s Estonian community.

We would also like to thank Ülle Veltmann, manager of the Estonian House Café, for providing the catering at the reception evening and for the ‘Family Sundays’, and Laas Leivat for his assistance during the organisation and development of the event, and his promotion of the event within the diplomatic community.

Finally we would like to acknowledge Toronto’s Estonian community.  Not only did they provide the programme with their support by attending the events, but also provided a number of willing and talented volunteers, including singers, musicians and storytellers; our thanks also go out to them.

Once again, thank you for all your hard work and hopefully we will see you at next years ‘Sharing Our Traditions’ reception evening.

Yours sincerely
NANCY REYNOLDS
