First scout shooting match at Seedrioru Range
Toronto Estonian Rifle and Pistol Club (TEPP) and Seedrioru Estonian Summer Camp have officially received certification from the Chief Firearms Officer (CFO) to re-establish and operate a shooting range at Seedrioru,

The original range at Seedrioru was active for many years and was included as part of the camp activities. In the late 1980's, the range fell into disuse and became a general storage area.

In 2014, when the Seedrioru juhatus undertook a revitalization program of the Seedrioru property, the abandoned shooting range received renewed attention. Thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Seedrioru and TEPP volunteers, the range building received a new roof, gate and fence, signage, an improved backstop with berms and other items that were required for certification. With approval from the Seedrioru juhatus, the administration and operation of the range will be carried out by TEPP and its volunteers.

The primary purpose of the range is to introduce our youth and Seedrioru campers to the sport of target shooting. It's a sport that requires dedication, concentration and mental discipline and is an excellent way to introduce these skills to a generation that often gets distracted by modern technology.

The first shooting match at the upgraded range occurred on May 4th when the Põhjakotka scout troop came to try out their shooting skills at a 50 m distance.

In 2019, TEPP celebrates its 50th year of operation at the Toronto Estonian House and the official opening of the new Seedrioru shooting range will be part of the TEPP jubilee program.

On Saturday, June 8th, at 2pm, right after the talgud lunch, the TEPP and Seedrioru juhatus would like to invite everybody to the range for the official ribbon cutting ceremony and the following Open House. This is will be a great opportunity to try your hand at 50m rifle. There will be prizes for the best shooters, followed by cake and light refreshments.
