When a political party calls conference attendees "thinkers" then there is a question whether they are being arrogant or delusional, or both. The keynote speaker at the Grit conference at the end of last month was former UN Ambassador, deputy minister who was held captive for several months by al-Qaida, Robert Fowler.

After thanking Prime Minister Stephen Harper for saving his life, Fowler proceeded to lambaste the Tory government. There’s gratitude for you.
