The Berklee College of Music announced on October 25th that Uku Suviste has earned placement on the Dean's List, an honour gained by achieving a GPA (grade point average) of 3.4 or more.
With over a dozen performance and non-performance majors, a diverse and talented student body representing over 70 countries and a music industry "who's who" of alumni, Berklee is the world's premier learning lab for the music of today and tomorrow.
Uku is the son of Raivo Suviste, the producer of many hit shows on Estonian TV. Uku's mother Heli Polikarpus works at the General Staff Headquarters. Heli graduated from the Tallinn Music conservatory, so Uku's roots in music run deep.
Several noted Estonians such as Urmas Lattikas have attended Berklee. It is always satisfying to see Estonians excelling.

Estonians appear to be both musical and athletic. If we calculate the number of prominent musicians and athletes as a ratio of the population, I believe that we rank rather highly among nations.
This is just a passing observation and the majority of us, tin-eared couch-potatoes, acquire no bragging-rights from it.
