"The Victory Column of the War of Independence is currently in such a state that the lighting and automation work, but in reality they are outdated. They need to be replaced. The service life of LEDs has also expired or is about to expire. Updates need to be undertaken proactively, although at the moment everything looks beautiful ," Peep Reisser, adviser to the Estonian War Museum, told ERR.
Riigi Kinnisvara AS, which manages and maintains the pillar, announced a tender for the design of lighting and automation solutions, but the first round of bids did not yield results, according to Reisser. The procurement process will start anew and the work will hopefully start next year, said Reisser.
