Watchdog cites Facebook 'privacy gaps'

Today's finding by Canada's privacy commissioner of “serious privacy gaps” on Facebook, despite recent changes by the social networking giant, could spur even more disclosures and protections for Facebook users around the world.

Jennifer Stoddart announced that Facebook had failed to adequately respond to four “well-founded” allegations about Facebook's privacy practices among 11 brought against the company by the Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic at the University of Ottawa.
