LeCroy most recently served as the National Security Advisor to the Secretary of Treasury in Washington, D.C.. Before that LeCroy spent a year in Baghdad, Iraq working as the Executive Officer to Paul Bremmer - the Administrator of the Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA ) -, and as Director of the CPA Executive Secretariat. " I spent the entire year in the government compound, except for one trip to the Shia shrine, " said LeCroy.
As a career Foreign Service Officer, LeCroy served two years in Tbilisi, Georgia where she assisted in the opening of the US Embassy, after the fall of the Soviet Union. " I became fascinated with Georgian art " said LeCroy, whose residence in Toronto is adorned with it.
LeCroy has also served in Bosnia where she was a Political Officer, concerned with media and election issues and in the Netherlands.
Domestic assignments included being the head of the telecommunications delegation to COCOM on the transfer of sensitive technology to the then Soviet Union. She also was the assisstant to the Ambassador at Large for Counter-Terrorism.
LeCroy has a number of academic awards and her foreign languages are Spanish, French, German, Russian and Georgian, the last one being considered a complex language.
Prior to joining the foreign service she practiced banking and commercial law in Dallas, Texas and London, England, and operated the family agri-business in her native Mississippi.
She received her education at the National War College, Boston University of Law and the University of Virginia. Postgraduate work was done at Oxford University (Trinity College), University of London ( King's College ), University of Virginia, Johns Hopkins University, Carleton University in Ottawa, and Peace Palace at the Hague.
